Becoming a ‘Sponge City’ at Shenzhen Speed

 My article explores how Shenzhen, China, where I taught 2016-17, transformed into a Sponge City. It goes into the origins & philosophy of Sponge Cities and concrete flood protection techniques like greenways, permeable pavement, and floodable parks.
